Ronnie Schildknecht of Switzerland won his 8th Ironman title with an 8:11:24 finish and Vermont mother of three Jessie Donavan won her 3rd Ironman title by 6:02 over Jodie Swallow at Ironman South Africa.

Middaugh, Paterson top XTERRA

Josiah Middaugh of Vail, Colorado topped Conrad Stoltz of South Africa and Lesley Paterson of Scotland was 4th overall and dominated the women’s field at the XTERRA West Championship at Lake Las Vegas.

Colorado tops overall teams

Colorado won their 4th straight USA Triathlon Collegiate Nationals overall team and men’s team awards; California-Berkeley won the women’s team award and the Elite Triathlon Academy won the Mixed Team relay.

Mehnert wins Collegiate women

Michelle Mehnert of the University of Colorado won the USA Triathlon Collegiate Nationals Olympic distance non-drafting women’s crown over Erika Erickson of Cal Berkeley and Brittany Braden of San Diego State.

Toft, Norden win Fuerteventura

Jens Toft’s swim trumped Joerie Vansteelant’s run and Olympic silver medalist Lisa Norden’s swim and bike outweighed Eimear Mullan’s run to win Half Challenge Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands.
