“My Best Performances Are Ahead of Me,” Cam Wurf Is All-in on the 2025 Ironman Pro Series

Cameron Wurf may very well be triathlon’s “Most Interesting Man.” Not only is he on the roster of the INEOS Grenadiers professional cycling team, but he finds time to train enough to come seventh at the 2024 Ironman World Championship, too.

His international exploits include finishing Paris-Roubaix and then logging a crisp 1:26 half-marathon afterwards, jumping into the New York City Marathon (running 2:36) mere weeks after finishing top-10 at the Ironman World Championship and, most recently, putting his name on the start list of every 2025 Ironman Pro Series race.

And, although the Aussie has already proven that the “name on every IM Pro Series start list” venture was more of a joke than an aspiration by missing IRONMAN South Africa last weekend, Wurf is serious about the fact he believes his best years are ahead of him.

  1. Big fan of Wurf and hope he proves himself right. I believed him the last few years, but he’s drifting into Sanders territory at this point. Hope that doesn’t hurt more than it adds fuel to the fire.
