Swim Climb

Sweden hosted the third Neptune Steps Swim Climb race, in Bergs Slussar, following in the footsteps of Maryhill Locks in Glasgow, Scotland. Athletes competed over a course combining 1000 yards of open water swimming broken up by a series of ropes and ladder climbs. Before dismissing these athletes, consider Swedish Olympic swimmer, Simon Sjödin, only managed to finish in the runner-up position.

An athlete completes one of the 11 climbs on course in the Swedish canal.
