Docherty by a hair in Korea

Kiwi Bevan Docherty won the opening round of the Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship series in Tongyeong, Korea by the narrowest of margins over Aussie Brad Kahlefeldt. A photo finish review had to be used.

O’Donnell and Morrison on top in St. Croix

Timothy O'Donnell beat a stellar field of athletes at the 2009 Ironman 70.3 St. Croix International Triathlon. In the women's race, Catriona Morrison chased down long time leader Mirinda Carfrae late in the race to capture that event.

Leto, Luebke top Wildflower Olympic

Kyle Leto of UC Davis, who missed Collegiate Nationals because he just graduated out of eligibility from UC Davis, beat UC Berkeley's Kenneth Rakestraw by 2:25; Jennifer Luebke, a University of Montana senior, beat age grouper Jenny Fletcher of Miami by 62 seconds.

Snowsill strikes first

Olympic Gold medalist Emma Snowsill passed Emma Moffat late in the run to claim the inaugural Dextro Energy Triathlon - ITU World Championship series race in Tongyeong, Korea.

Stoltz and McQuaid in Las Vegas

Conrad Stoltz narrowly held off Josiah Middaugh to win the 2009 XTERRA West Cup in Las Vegas. Melanie McQuaid also had a tough fight on her hands with Shonny Vanlandingham on her way to the women's title.
