Joe Gambles’ race-best 1:14:27 half marathon ran down swim and bike leader Paul Ambrose and Angela Naeth’s race-best bike and run splits overtook swim leader Jodie Swallow to win Ironman 70.3 Syracuse.

Van Lierde, Deckers rule Nice

Frederik Van Lierde led from start to finish and grabbed the win at Ironman France in a course record time of 8:21:50. Tine Deckers also broke the course record with a time of 9:16:05 to take the women’s title.

Alistair Brownlee dominates again

Alistair Brownlee dominated the ITU Kitzbühel World Triathlon Series event with superb efforts during the swim, bike and run. His younger brother Jonathan finished second and Javier Gomez grabbed third.
