IMWC 2024: Wetsuits of the Top 10 Pro Women

We are back to our regular scheduling with this year’s Top 10 gear items from the IRONMAN World Championships. Each year in the past, we have looked at the top 10 fastest splits in the professional field for each leg. In order to be counted in these tables, athletes need to finish the race. For this year’s top 10, there were two athletes subbed out of the individual splits due to DNFs. The women’s swim was super tight in Nice, with a total of 45 seconds separating the top 10. That’s likely helped due to the wetsuit legal swim.

So shooting all the photos was a bit tricky… 🙂

Six of the ladies featured below ended up in the top 10 overall at the end of the day. And that’s without overall champion Laura Philipp in the mix.

While arena took the win, Sailfish took the wetsuit count for the top 10 results. They were also the only brand in the top 10 to appear twice on the list. It looks like ROKA as some work to do.

While Langridge was the clear swim leader in the water coming up to the swim exit, it was pretty funny watching her get flustered when Marta Sanchez tried to come around her before they got to the timing mats. I wish I had a better shot of her face. Fenella would end up taking the win by .06 of a second. As Ricky Bobby always said: rubbing is racing!
