Maksym Kriat of the Ukraine held off Graham O’Grady of New Zealand and Magali Tisseyre of Quebec, Canada edged Kate Major of Canada to win Mooseman 70.3 titles.

Nicola Spirig of Switzerland outsprinted newcomer Emma Charayron of France and Helen Jenkins of Great Britain to win the sizzling hot round three of the Dextro Energy World Championship Series race in Madrid, Spain.

Timothy DeBoom ran down Matt Lieto and Luke Bell to win the 2010 Rohto Ironman 70.3 Hawaii. Belinda Granger took the women’s title with a very solid performance all day.

As many Slowtwitchers know, I and the Slice I rode in the Tour of California time trial did not deliver each other safely to the finish line. Nevertheless, I did promise readers a recap of that Slice.

Franky Batelier won the XTERRA European Championships in Sardinia, Italy by a very narrow margin over Olivier Marceau. Melanie McQuaid grabbed the women’s title and her first win of the season.
