Timo Bracht of Germany used a race-best bike split and 3rd-best run to win Ironman Los Cabos men’s contest in 8:26:48; Erika Csomor of Hungary edged Michelle Vesterby of Denmark to take the women’s crown.

Canadian Paula Findlay seems happily on the road to recovery from long-term hip injury with her win at the Sarasota Pan Am Cup; in the men’s contest, Joao Pereira of Portugal edged Tommy Zaferes by 2 seconds.

Javier Gomez continued his hot streak at virtually all triathlon disciplines, dominating the opening round of the 2013 ITU World Cup season at Mooloolaba, Australia. Matt Chrabot and Peter Kerr rounded out the podium.
