Gomez, Swallow take La Baule

A week after becoming the ITU World Champion in Budapest, Hungary, Javier Gomez grabbed the French Grand Prix win in La Baule. Jodie Swallow got away on the bike and with a 1:30 lead in T2 held off Andrea Hewitt and World Champion Emma Moffatt for the win.

This French Grand Prix race had a star studded field and with so many Pros based in Europe during the summer months this isn't a complete surprise.

Look out though for these Brownlee brothers, the London Olympic Games are only 2 years from now.

Swallow had a superb and smart race but we are likely to see her race mostly longer events moving forward.
