Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Not specified whether registration/convenience fees are added. Course Info: The Big Hurt is a multi-sport race that includes four legs:
* A 16.5-mile mountain bike that takes place in the foothills above Port Angeles
* A 3-mile kayak in Port Angeles Harbor
* A 30-mile road bike that goes west out of Port Angeles and crosses the Elwha River and visits Freshwater Bay, as well as the lower parts of Kelly Ridge on Dan Kelly and Eden Valley Roads.
* A 10-K Run, out and back on the Olympic Discovery Trail along the waterfront
Participants can race solo in Iron Division or as a relay team.
Big Hurt is the same weekend as Arts & Draughts Port Angeles Beerfest - two great events in one gorgeous waterfront location!
More: Iron Division (solo participants) have regular and Masters (50+) categories. Teams categories include regular, Masters, High School, First Responders (fire, police, military, etc.) and Tandem (2-person team)
Directions: We are about 2 hours west of Seattle, Washington or a ferry ride from Victoria British Columbia.
