General Information
Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Yes, all registration/convenience fees are included in price or disclosed up front. Course Info: The swim is in the small confines of Big Fish Lake, which means a two loop swim course for Olympic athletes. Typically there are a few weeds right at the swim start.
The bike course is very fast, but a challenging, rolling course. Flat in the middle and back, rolling in the first and last 5k.
More: Our number one goal is to keep athletes safe. This event must be capped at 500 athletes. Prizes in age groups.
Directions: This is a state park so all vehicles must have a Recreational Passport to enter the park. Michigan residents can purchase a passport at the Secretary of State when renewing vehicle tags or at the park office, the pass is good for an entire a year at all State Parks.
All non-residents can purchase a one day pass for $9 or an annual pass $31 at the park office. There is very limited parking and partly the reason for the cap. So please plan to arrive early.
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
