Course Info: 1.5 km Swim The Triathlon begins at Bennington Lake where competitors will begin with a 1.5 km (2 loop)swim. Water temperature will be approximately 65-68 dgrees. Wet suits will be allowed.
40 km Bike The bike course will be an out and back scenic ride. Bikers will head down Reservoir Rd. from the lake turning right on Tausick Way. Turn right again on to the Walla Walla Community College driveway and follow that through the campus to Isaac’s St. You will turn right on Isaacs which will become Mill Creek Rd. you will then stay right onto 5 mile rd to turn around point with a short out and back on Scenic Loop Rd on your way back to the transition area located at Bennington Lake.
10 km Run The run will be a moderate course on the bike path through Rooks Park with no major hills.
More: The 25th Annual Onion Man Triathlon will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018. The Olympic Distance race held at the base of the Blue Mountains. The race will be timed using the ChampionChip timing system by AA Sports, Ltd. We have opened up 25 spots for an Duathlon division this year. It is open for individuals or two person teams. Duathletes will start single file after the first triathlete leaves on their bike. Duathlon awards will be given out to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers and the first place overall team. No duathlon age group awards will be given out.
Directions: Coming from Hwy 12, take Walla Walla Community College/Walla Walla Regional Airport exit, (Hwy 12 East turn right on Tausick Way. Hwy 12 West turn left on Tausick Way) Turn left on Reservoir Road and follow the signs to Bennington Lake.
