General Information
Registration fees included or disclosed up front?: Yes, all registration/convenience fees are included in price or disclosed up front. Course Info: **The Duathlon course has a fairly flat run to start. Both hilly bike courses are the same. Both distances are a little short in terms of bike miles and the Sprint swim is only 500m.
In wave starts every five minutes, professionals and elites will begin, followed by amateurs based in age group divisions. The 1.5 K swim goes out past the three buoys and toward the shoreline, exiting back near the transition area.
After transitioning on the grass just by the swim exit, a quick climb awaits you and your bike to get out of the park (have your gears set to easy!).
Turning right onto San Pedro Road, this technical bike course follows the water for 3.5 miles before the turnaround at the Back Ranch Meadows campground entrance.
After the turnaround, the hills again await you as you return past McNear?s Beach park with the turnaround on the other end just after the big downhill.
22 miles over three loops and then back into McNear?s Beach Park.
Following the second transition, The 10k run heads out of the park, turning left for a two loop, spectator friendly course, along the water?s edge to a triumphant finish and one great triathlon.

Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that. To use the utility, type in an address that is close to your location and then drag-and-drop the marker to obtain the desired lat/long. If you choose to enter a lat/long, you must check the box on the edit page that says, "override geocode with entered lat/long."
