Course Info: The Richmond Triathlon Club Sprint Triathlon is located at the Collegiate School Aquatic Center at Ukrop Park, home of the 2008 Olympic Trials pool! This venue features a 50-meter, 7?7″-all deep pool, allowing us to offer the most unique pool swim experience in triathlon ? a 400m open water pool swim. No more waiting for hours in the cold to get into the pool. No more problems with ?improper? seed times. All athletes will be in the pool within 25-minutes of the start gun. There is an additional 25yd warm up pool for those who wish to warm up prior to their wave start!
The 50 meter competition pool is very spectator friendly and will be used in a unique fashion in that we will have athletes start in groups of 10 athletes as they head for the first turn buoy. Yes, we will have turn buoys instead of lane lines for this event as it is the first ?pool open water race? in the VTS-MTS! The bike course is a mix of rolling hills and flat sections and is a ?big ring? course throughout. The run course is 2 laps around the Richmond Kickers soccer complex. We are excited about this unique event!

Race Information
-This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. Click HERE for a brief description of common USAT rules and how you can avoid getting a penalty in this event.
-This event allows a one time deferral of your registration to the following years event. Athletes can do this through their profile by paying a $20 deferral fee at least 30 days prior to the event. Once we are within 30 days and until online registration closes you may defer your entry to the following year for $35. Sorry, but refunds are not allowed for this, or any VTSMTS event.
-Race Registration Insurance is available during race registration check out.
Map location is based off of a geocode of the addressed entered using Google's Google Maps API. If your address does not geocode properly, you can either update the address (we will attempt to re-geocode after any updates to your entry) or you can use Google's geocoding tool found here: http://gmaps-samples.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/geocoder/singlegeocode.html to obtain a lat/long for your location and enter that.
